[Product Review] Just Tomatoes Etc!

Watching Heston Blumenthal use dry ice in his weird and wacky food experiments is what sparked my interest in freeze dried fruit. I'm constantly browsing iHerb for new products to try and when I found Just Tomatoes Etc! I knew I had to place an order.

Unlike many dried fruit which are coated in sugars and oils, Just Tomatoes Etc! are 100% freeze-dried fruits and vegetables - nothing else added.

I bought myself:

Just Strawberries
Just Bananas
Just Raspberries
Just Fruit Munchies (apples, grapes, blueberries, sour cherries, mangos, pineapple and raspberries)
Just Fruit Salad (pears, apples, peaches, bananas, strawberries and red grapes)

Upon first opening one of the packs, they resembled slices of the actual fruit, but also if they were pieces of honeycomb candy.

They're slightly firm at first bite and as you chew they soften and become the texture of normal dried fruit with a burst of sweetness.

Despite the small size, they're quite filling for a snack and at just 35 to 60 calories per package these won't ruin your diet.

Top your morning oats or yogurt with some freeze dried fruit for some natural fruity flavouring. Just Tomatoes Etc! fruit would even make for a great addition to homemade trail mix.

The Just Tomatoes Etc! line includes other tropical fruits such as pineapple and pomegranate and even vegetables to add to soup, rice or anything else that takes your fancy.
