Peanut Butter Cups [Vegan, Gluten & Sugar Free]

Searching for the most popular Halloween candy, the one which kept coming up again and again was the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

This recipe is a re-work of the one I original posted on the blog, coincidentally, just prior to Halloween last year.

Ingredients
2/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/3 Cup Melted Coconut Oil
1/2 tsp Chocolate Liquid Stevia
3 Tbsp Peanut Flour
2-3 Tbsp Water

Directions

Mix the cocoa powder, coconut oil and liquid stevia in a bowl until well combined
Divide the chocolate mixture evenly between two bowls
Take a silicone mould and fill one-third of the way up with the chocolate
Place in the fridge for 20 minutes to set
Mix the peanut flour and water together to make a paste
Take the silicone mould out of the fridge
Add a dollop of the peanut butter to the centre of each chocolate base
Pour the other half of the chocolate mixture into the silicone moulds, filling them up to the top
Place back in the fridge for 20-30 minutes to completely set

Makes 10 serves

How do they compare?

NOTE: Anything that is made from chocolate will be quite high in fat, so I suggest these are treats, no something you would eat every single day. However, in saying that, making your own is always best to avoid the nasty chemicals and ingredients used in heavily processed food products.
