Today is just a quick little recipe for my Northern Hemisphere readers, as last week's soup recipes aren't exactly pratical with your Summer weather. Most iced tea recipes involve hot water and a whole lot of waiting. Ain't nobody got time for that! It's hot, you're hot, who wants to boil the kettle, then wait for it to cool down in the fridge? My recipe takes a fraction of the time and tastes just as flavourful and refreshing. 3 Cups of Cold Water Juice of 1 Lemon 12 Drops of SweetLeaf Lemon Liquid Stevia Directions Mix the citrus juice, stevia and water together Add the tea bags and allow them to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes Remove the tea bags if you're serving this to guests, or leave them in to continue steeping Pour the tea over ice and enjoy Makes 3 serves Cost $1.02 or 34 cents per serve Other than the lemon juice, this drink is practically calorie-free. If you have trouble drinking enough water during the day, adding the flavours of fruit tea, citrus and stevia could help with that. It's so delicious, that before you know it you've downed the whole thing. If this is for a party, pour the tea into a nice glass jug, add some slices of citrus fruits and ice cubes Depending on the number of guests, you may need to double, triple or quadruple this recipe. via Stacie Michelle http://stacie-michelle.blogspot.com/2013/06/cold-steeped-fruit-tea.html | |||
