[Low Carb & Gluten Free] Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Looking for a low carb and gluten free pizza base alternative? Then this recipe is just for you.

A few months ago I made a pizza base from TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein), this time around it's cauliflower. But not just any cauliflower. A purple one!

Obviously, you could use any colour cauliflower you like, I'm just a sucker for any unusually coloured vegetable. Did you know that there are also green and orange cauliflowers? They all taste alike, however they make your meal that little bit more fun.

Ingredients


Crust

125g Cauliflower Rice
2 Egg Whites (or 1 Egg)
1 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
Dried Oregano
Salt
Pepper

Toppings


50g Capsicum
50g Onion
70g Tomato
1/2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
30g Lite Cheese



Directions

Mix together all of the crust ingredients
Line a baking tray with baking paper
Press the crust mixture down and shape it into a circle
You can have the crust as thick or thin as you like
Cook in  180 degree celcius oven until brown
Flip it over and cook the other side
Remove from the oven and top it with whatever ingredients you like
Return to the oven to bake your toppings
Slice it and enjoy
