After a long, hard day at work it's always tempting to reach for the sweet goodness that is chocolate. Today's recipe hits just the spot, with it's deceiving healthy sweetness (from the coconut and stevia) and packs a dose of healthy fats. Enough with the long-winded description; let's get to the recipe! Ingredients 4 Tbsp Coconut Oil 2 Tbsp Unsweetened Coconut Flakes 1 Scoop of About Time Chocolate Protein Powder 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder 1/2 Tbsp Butter 20-30 Drops of SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia Directions Melt the coconut oil and butter together in a bain marie While that is melted, sprinkle the coconut flakes evenly in a silicone mould Add the cocoa powder, protein powder and stevia to the coconut/butter mixture Mix well to ensure there are no lumps Pour the chocolate mixture into the silicone mould, covering all the coconut flakes Refrigerate until set Cut into pieces and enjoy! Makes 10 serves Macros (per serve) 80 calories 3g protein 7.5g fat 1.4g carbs 0.3g sugar 0.4g fibre Cost $2.70 or 27 cents per serve Check back tomorrow for the last recipe in a Week of Chocolate Recipes via Stacie Michelle http://stacie-michelle.blogspot.com/2013/05/chocolate-coconut-bark.html | |||
