Chickpea Flat Bread #2 [Vegan & Gluten Free]


It's been a long time coming since my Chickpea Flat Bread #1 recipe, but #2 the Vegan & Gluten Free version is finally here. This recipe is just as quick and easy as the first, but suitable for those of you who steer clear of any animal products.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Chickpea Flour
10-15ml Water
Dried Oregano
(plus any other dried spices of your choosing)


Directions

Sift the flour to remove any lumps
Add the water to the flour, mixing with a spoon, or even your hands
Keep stirring until the flour forms a dough
Add in the oregano or any herbs/spices your prefer
Mix well again to evenly distribute them
Roll out the dough to your desired thickness
Cook in a 180 degree Celsius oven for 5-7 minutes
Flip the bread over and cook for a further 5-7 minutes on the other side

Makes 2 serves

110 calories
6g protein
2g fat
18g carbs
3g sugar
5g fibre







Could use this as a high protein, high fibre pizza base

Have as a side with a curry

Serve with some veggie sticks and dip (hummus, for those who can't get enough of chickpeas, or tzatkiki)
